What is that?
Park Overnight (PON) offers simple, legal overnight spots in parking areas—ideal for spontaneous and safe travel. The spots are meant for one or more nights and are perfect when you need a quiet, official place to park, sleep and continue your journey.
The parking area is located in the forest, right next to the Castellberghütte in Vogtsburg-Achkarren. It's about a 10-minute walk to the center of Achkarren.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE HUT IS PARTICULARLY BOOKED BY PRIVATE GROUPS AND FOR EVENTS ON WEEKENDS. THERE MAY BE CORRESPONDING NOISE DISTURBANCES.
Caravans are also very welcome on our pitches, provided they are self-sufficient and therefore not reliant on external infrastructure. Electricity and sanitary facilities are not available at our municipal pitches. If these conditions are not met, overnight stays in caravans on our pitches are not permitted.
According to the spa tax regulations of the town of Vogtsburg i.K., all non-local persons staying in the municipality are required to register and pay the spa tax. The spa tax of €2.00 per person from age 15 (from 2027 €2.50 per person) or €1.00 for children (from 2027 €1.50 per person) is transferred directly during the booking process.
In return, you will receive the KONUS guest card. With the KONUS guest card, you get numerous discounts and free use of public transport between Karlsruhe and Basel throughout the Black Forest. You can get your guest card directly on site at the Citizens and Guest Information in Vogtsburg-Oberrotweil or you can request it digitally. Please refer to the information in the booking details section.

Municipal charging stations for electric cars are located at the town hall in Vogtsburg-Oberrotweil (Bahnhofstraße 20) and at Im Riedgarten in Vogtsburg-Bickensohl. Additional charging points will be put into operation soon in Achkarren, Oberbergen, and Bischoffingen.
In front of the citizen and guest information center, there are also three free charging stations (each with 2 sockets) for e-bikes or small electrical devices (e.g., mobile phones). These charging stations can be used for a maximum of 12 hours. You must bring your own charger. Free public Wi-Fi is available at the town hall in Vogtsburg-Burkheim, Mittelstadt 7. There is also a public restroom at this location.
The Vogtsburg supply and disposal station as well as the fresh water station are located directly next to the Oberrotweil swimming pool and can be used for a fee.

Clean parking spot with a view of the vineyards. We were all alone there, highly recommended.
A beautiful spot with views of the vineyards and the village. The designated pitches have little shade, so we took a parking space behind them. Since there was no event in the hut, it was very quiet. There is a very good restaurant within a 15-minute walk. With our filter bottle, we had good drinking water from the spring water at the fountain inlet. Being allowed to stay there legally was worth the money to us. We will come back, as there are also beautiful hiking opportunities with views of Freiburg and the Kaiserstuhl.
Great pitch with a perfect view of the vineyards, the Rhine Valley, and the Vosges mountains. Unfortunately, entering the pitch number directly via the web address provided on the notice board didn't work. As a result, we had to install the app. Paying via the app with PayPal didn't work either; after the PayPal transaction, I was redirected back to the app, which then didn't accept the payment. In the end, we could only pay later from a PC. The price of €15.50 for one night isn't cheap, especially since the KONUS card, which is paid for via the tourist tax, is not available on weekends. It's a shame that there is a toilet container that remains locked. It would be nice if this were also available to those using the pitches.
We have been to this site several times because it is very beautiful there. There were people partying at the barbecue hut until about 1 a.m., but it didn't bother us!
Very beautiful, quiet spot. Partly shaded as it's under trees. Small trash can at the entrance and a small fountain. Up by the hut, there is a playground and a fire pit. Had a very peaceful night, would love to come back.
Nice hiking car park for self-contained motorhomes. Easy to pay on-site via a QR code. The motorhome should not be longer than 6 meters.
I really enjoyed my stay here.
